People are welcome to come along to our soil health workshop on Saturday 8 February at 8.30am! Alan Coates will be running the hands-on event. Alan has been a TAFE agriculture and horticulture teacher for more than 30 years. He has taught biological farming, integrated pest management, production horticulture, subtropical fruit growing and, of course, soils…
Not only will this benefit our knowledge of the community garden site, but it will be of interest to anyone who would like to know more about soil management and making it more productive. People who have attended the workshop before have come out amazed at how much they learned and could actually use in a practical way!
The cost is just $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Please bring cash along on the day. And a plate to share for morning tea/lunch. You will also need a chair to sit on!
Please note there is a limit to the number of people who can attend as Alan has an interactive style.
If you are not a member, it is very cheap for the year. You can join here. If you intend to come to future workshops and events, you will get your money back in no time… All members can help in the garden, grow food and share in the fruits of our labour!
