Winter Series: So you want to eat local?

Join us for the final Community Garden Winter Series event of the season: So You Want to
Eat Local, a lively panel discussion on local food production in Gympie.
Our panellists include Zela Bissett, artist and gardening columnist for Gympie Living; local
permaculture legend Serge Leroyer; and Dr Shane Simonsen, a biologist, plant breeder and
local farmer. The discussion will be hosted by Phil Stringer from Dragonfly Gardens.
Together, they will share their knowledge and practical insights on growing food in our
region, including seasonal crops, planting techniques and, soil and water management
techniques. There will also be time for audience questions, and morning tea is provided.

Come along to Winter Series #3 to be inspired to grow and eat more locally, and join us in
creating a resilient local food future.
